Abstract

The mentoring activity aimed at developing learning media is part of community service intended to enhance teachers' skills and knowledge for creating certification-compliant media. This initiative seeks to expedite the teacher certification process by enabling teachers to produce their own learning media. The research targets 20 Madania teachers in Makassar, employing lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises with Q&A sessions. Lectures cover basic concepts of teacher professionalism, certification, and learning media theory, while demonstrations showcase the development of computer-based media. Practical exercises focus on creating certification-standard media, and Q&A sessions address participants' challenges in media development. Success is attributed to participant enthusiasm, principal support, expertise from Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, and faculty funding. Challenges include limited computer skills and time constraints. This activity aims to empower teachers to develop computer-based learning media aligned with their curriculum, thereby enhancing their certification qualifications. The produced learning media are expected to improve teachers' quality and effectiveness in achieving certification. The findings imply broader educational improvements through teacher empowerment in media creation.
